​Zawadi Cultural Collective in conjunction with Black In The Valley host a 4 hour in person program designed to develop the entrepreneur spirit of our younger generation.  Five mentors from various aspects of business will guide our young participants in a four hour intensive course in developing their own business.  From concept to launch, our mentors will ask the questions and give the answers to all of the key components for running a business.  In addition to our mentors, guest speakers will address various topics and relay their own personal business expertise.  The program concludes with an invitation to each participate for a vending space at our Juneteenth Marketplace.

• Brainstorming Your concepts​

           Discuss your interest, what makes your business and your target audience.

• Forming Your Business Structure

           Creating a memorable business name and filing a business name also branding of that name.

• Developing your product.

           Research your product and what makes it stand out and determining a price point for it.

• Advertising & Marketing

          ​​Determining a strong marketing/advertising plan both online and traditional.

• Planning the roll out of your business

          ​Determining the elements needed and how much product you need for your launch 

• Business Presentation

          ​Complete the business plan and set up the presentation 

The program will be held on May 31, 2025 from 12pm - 4pm at Christ Community Church in Winnetka, CA.
